Acceptable use

Use Starhold Status for honest status information about systems you run. Do not use it to deceive people, to attack or scan other systems, or to send mail people did not ask for. We act on reports of abuse by taking pages offline or suspending accounts.

Do not

1. Impersonate another organisation's status page or brand.
2. Publish phishing links, malware or unlawful content.
3. Monitor systems you do not operate and are not authorised to check, or use monitors to probe or overload someone's server.
4. Try to reach private networks, internal addresses or our own systems through a monitor. The service refuses these.
5. Use subscriber email for anything but status updates about the page, or add people who did not subscribe themselves.
6. Share or resell an account to get around a plan's limits.

What we do about it

We can take a page offline or suspend an account, and we can stop monitoring a host. When we act for abuse we refund the unused time pro rata, unless the abuse was fraud.
