Privacy

We keep the least we can. We keep your account email, the content of your pages, encrypted subscriber and viewer emails, 48 hours of check results and daily uptime totals. We never keep IP addresses, viewer analytics, email bodies after delivery or the bodies of the pages we check. We sell no data and never will. You can export or delete everything yourself, at once.

What we keep

• Your account email address.
• What you put on your pages: names, components, incidents, maintenance, settings, logo and colours.
• Subscriber and viewer email addresses, stored encrypted (and so encrypted in our backups too). Subscribers who never confirm are erased after 48 hours. Unsubscribing deletes the row.
• Check results for 48 hours: pass or fail, status code and response time. After that, only daily totals of time spent in each state.
• Billing records that Polar sends us: your plan and its dates.

What we never keep

• Visitors' IP addresses. Our servers keep no access log. Abuse limits use a keyed hash of the address held in memory or deleted within 24 hours.
• Viewer analytics of any kind: no counters, referrers or user agents, in any visibility mode.
• Email bodies. A message is deleted from our outbox as soon as the mail provider accepts it, or after 3 days of failed delivery.
• The content of the pages we check, or their headers.
• Your incident text, Markdown, passwords or tokens in our logs. Logs hold request ids, route names, status codes, timings and ids only.

Who processes data for us

• Polar takes payments as merchant of record and sees your payment details; we do not.
• Postmark delivers our email: login links, billing mail and the updates subscribers asked for.
• Backblaze B2 stores our encrypted database backups.

While mail delivery is not yet live, sign-in links for invited accounts are written to the server log so the operator can deliver them by hand. They are single-use and expire after 15 minutes.

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking services on any page.

Your role and ours

For the people who subscribe to your pages or are allowed to view them, you decide what is collected and we process it for you. Subscribers can leave in one click from every email.

Export and delete

From your dashboard you can download all of your data, build while you wait, and delete a single page or your whole account at once. There is no waiting period and nothing to request.
